Dear Shane,

Congratulations on your new role as SPS Supervisor!  I’m actually composing this draft prior to you getting the offer, because I’m confident there’s not a better fit for the position out there.  The other objective embedded in my rooster-scratch, is to say “thank you.”

I’m pretty sure I’ve learned more from you than any other source since coming on the project just over a year ago.  Your knowledgeable patience and even-keeled consistency has been a great help to me and many others on NextGen, whether they are learning, managing, or just pretending.  I’m sure it will be put to even greater use in your new position.  Keep up the good work!
