Dear Shane,

Congratulations on your new role as SPS Supervisor!  I’m actually composing this draft prior to you getting the offer, because I’m confident there’s not a better fit for the position out there.  The other objective embedded in my rooster-scratch, is to say “thank you.”

I’m pretty sure I’ve learned more from you than any other source since coming on the project just over a year ago.  Your knowledgeable patience and even-keeled consistency has been a great help to me and many others on NextGen, whether they are learning, managing, or just pretending.  I’m sure it will be put to even greater use in your new position.  Keep up the good work!

Dear Jesse and Lianne,

I wanted to thank you both for your friendship during our time in upstate NY.  From our first visit to TLC, when you “rescued” us from [John Doe's] blessed wordstream and whisked us away to Old Country Buffet, to the countless hours spent together in worship and fellowship over the following two years.  You made us feel welcome, then loved, and helped spark so many other beautiful friendships during our time in the northeast.  The world is a better place thanks to your joyful souls and big hearts.  Thanks for sharing them with us.
